Duties

Help
  • Assists in formulating and integrating policy and planning to integrate cyberspace and electromagnetic activities cyberspace operations (CO) in support of exercises and operations for US Army and USCYBERCOM.
  • Assists in managing ARCYBER G39 exercise scheduling and identification of future list requirements.
  • Provides input to produce and maintain the long-range exercise calendar identifying planning conferences, critical data dates, suspense dates and exercise milestones.
  • Assist in developing training programs and plans by directing efforts of functional proponents, military subject matter experts, technical staffs, telecommunication specialists and private contractors for development and implementation.
  • Coordinates with action officers, and participates in the development of operational training exercise scenarios to ensure synchronization of planning efforts and conformity of plans.
  • Assists in establishing exercise parameters, objectives and scenarios, and coordinates the efforts of other staff agencies for support and execution. Assists in processing After Action Reports (AAR); reviews, analyzes, and compiles into reports.
  • Assists in preparation of Mission Need Statements (MNS), Operational Requirements Documents (ORD) and an exercise budget.
  • Assists in coordination and development of After Action Reports (AAR) and Lessons Learned using a comprehensive knowledge of the policies, precedents and regulations applicable to the program.
  • Conducts site surveys, develops exercise budget plans, and performs risk assessments. Prepare Mission Need Statements (MNS) and Operational Requirements Documents (ORD).

  • Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS-SCI).
  • Must undergo and successfully complete an initial and periodic Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (CI Poly) examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
  • Must pass an initial and periodic urinalysis screening for illegal drug use.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to NSA and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) accredited facilities and networks. [Military Affairs Desk Officer (MADO) Security In-Processing (SIP) process.]
  • The incumbent may be required to travel approximately 10% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as work which includes assisting in conducting cyberspace operations; recommending proposed cyberspace exercise activity events in one or more subcategory of cyberspace operations which may include Information Operations (IO), Military Deception (MILDEC), Operations Security (OPSEC), Military Information Support Operations (MISO) / Psychological Operations (PSYOP), or Electronic Warfare (EW) missions; and advising higher management on the development, coordination and planning for an exercise program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service, GS-11.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
