This is a developmental position starting at the GS-7 or GS-9 with full performance to GS-12 level. The GS-07 grade level will have more review and guidance than the GS-09. The level of responsibility will increase per grade level. Duties are written at the full performance GS-12 level.
Analyzes financial activity and budget estimates/requests for allowances submitted by managers of assigned programs.
Reviews for accuracy of technical format and mathematical accuracy, adequacy of supporting narrative justification, and conformance with budgetary policy and guidelines.
Briefs management on all financial and budget policies that impact program decisions.
Conducts studies to identify financial management and budget problems within the organization, creates solutions, and implements after management approval.

Complete a "Declaration of Federal Employment" (OF-306) to determine suitability for Federal employment.
If you are not a current GSA employee, you must complete the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Form I-9 to determine identity and employment (work status) eligibility. GSA will verify the information through the DHS e-Verify automated system. Any identified discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of continued employment.
Undergo a background investigation and receive favorable adjudication. This position has been designated as a Public Trust Position.
