Summary

You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the SHIP DEFENSE EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

You will serve as the Product Support Lead.

Duties

Help
  • You will provide leadership and coordination efforts.
  • You will provide project planning and overall Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) task management of all Logistics Element Manger (LEM) efforts.
  • You will lead and coordinate the development of all logistics products to establish support strategies, requirements, and outcomes to meet key program, sustainment metrics.
  • You will manage, monitor, evaluate and coordinate the execution of Logistics support products.
  • You will evaluate progress in attaining logistics product support objectives.
  • You will monitor schedules, and performance.
  • You will provide logistics leadership and support to the program office and to other functional areas.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field L-Life Cycle Logistics Level III. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the Federal Service or equivalent private sector experience identifying and evaluating requirements to meet integrated logistics support requirements for an acquisitions program.

CAPPED POSITION: This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14. The salary range shown in the announcement represents all of the positions within the band, including GS-14 equivalent (high grade) positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $131,064).

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.

This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
