Summary

About the Position: This position is with US Army MEDDAC, Evans Army Community Hospital, Directorate of Logistics. The incumbent in this position will serve as a Motor Vehicle Operator and perform material handling work. You will deliver medical supplies and equipment ensuring proper tracking, storage, and issuance. You will perform warehouse duties supporting the mission of Evans Army Community Hospital.

Duties

Help
  • Operate motor vehicles to deliver medical supplies.
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance checks on vehicles.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring cargo is properly located, distributed and secured and vehicle is not loaded past it's capacity.
  • Perform daily resupply operations to automated supply systems assigned to route.
  • Screen supplies for expiration dates, and removes expired items ensuring items such as hypodermic needles and syringes are secured in accordance with storage procedures.

  • Physical Effort: May be heavy lifting (in excess of 45 pounds). Working on hard surfaces that requires standing, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Light to moderate reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate motor vehicles used in transporting medical supplies and equipment..

    Working Conditions: Drives motor vehicles in all types of traffic and weather conditions.
