Duties

Help
  • Perform a broad range of standard receiving assignments at multiple storage facilities.
  • Receive shipments, sign receiving documents, develop and establish appropriate layout for placement for incoming items, perform or direct the unloading of trucks using common handling equipment.
  • Screen discrepancies on shipping and receiving documents, identify items damaged in shipment, and alert the appropriate authority if discrepancy is serious.
  • Operate forklift capable of lifting as much as 15,000 lbs and perform daily operational checks of material handling equipment.
  • Direct and transport items to specifically prescribed warehouse or storage locations and utilize appropriate method for securing materials

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current forklift license. You have 90 days from the date of appointment to obtain a forklift license.
  • This position may require overtime work.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision - Performing warehousing duties, materials expediting of goods in storage facilities through the use of material handling equipment, and preparing shipping and inventory documents.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
