Duties

Help

The individual selected for this position will:

  1. Develop, organize, manage, and implement the recruitment program, activities, and functions of the excepted service employees of the Regional Census Center.
  2. Develop a strategic plan for recruitment programs, operations, and goals for the Regional Census Center.
  3. Conduct or participate in group recruiting sessions.
  4. Analyze and monitor progress, performance and cost data of a recruitment program to ensure recruitment operations are within specific time limits and budget constraints.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level that demonstrates implementing a recruitment plan designed to meet unique staffing requirements such as part-time employment, shift work, or second income positions in a competitive labor market through professional employment agencies, state unemployment offices, vocational or technical schools. Must also have experience in participating in meetings with specialized groups, and gathering information on recruitment programs or activities by conducting interviews of individuals.

OR

EDUCATION: Two full years of graduate education or a master’s degree directly related to the position that demonstrates operations management; organizational behavior; managing human resources; personnel management; personnel interviewing; project management; operations research, approaches to managerial decisions; creative writing; advertising; public relations techniques.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

Your resume, optional cover letter and supporting documentation will be reviewed to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications for the position.
