Duties

Help
  • Research, develop and refine media products and command information products in the requested digital format, record, or file for utilizing word processor memory.
  • Coordinate and act as a facilitator for the agency?s strategic communications working group that is tasked to refine agency strategic communications and supporting information products.
  • Edit reports and documents prepared by subject-matter experts, who are not expert writers, requiring substantial analysis and re-writing to increase reader comprehension and present accurate information about Army systems and issues.
  • Perform line-editing reviews and proofread a variety of agency documents, briefing products and correspondence.
  • Develop a strategic communications plan for the agency that identifies communication and engagement priorities and objectives

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify for the GS-13 level, applicants must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12. Specialized experience is defined as: Specialized experience is defined as: developing written products that articulate, interpret, and explain highly complex, potentially controversial, and important agency policies, programs, and research findings; proposing changes in agency editorial and publishing policies and practices; and managing and archiving publishing projects.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
