This is a SUMMER 2019 internship position. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate for an exciting internship position in the Washington Office. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, or FERC, is an independent agency that regulates the interstate transmission of natural gas, oil, and electricity. Duties include:
Assists in analyzing the environmental impact of proposed energy facilities.
Reviews, analyzes, and determines the merits of comments and recommendations filed with the Commission, and reports on environmental factors, determining the adequacy of data supplied.
Candidates must have one full year of general experience at the lower grade level or equivalent education. General experience is described as progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position.
Education Requirement: Completion of 2 full academic years of post-high school study or an associate's degree. At time of appointment candidates must meet the qualification requirements.
