This position is located at The West Point Golf Course.
Performs a variety of tasks having several steps or a sequence of tasks that requires attention to work operations in a kitchen or dining area following established procedures.
Sets up cafeteria lines, steam-tables, dining room tables, and side service stands with hot and cold food items including meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread, butter, and beverages; replenishes as necessary.
Clean kitchen equipment such as worktables, sinks and refrigerators. Scrapes, soaks, scours, and scrubs heavy cooking utensils such as mixing bowls or pots.
Serves food by order and proper portion. Separates food waste and trash from dishes, glasses, and silverware. Loads and operates dishwashers. Stores cleaned dishes, glasses and silverware.
Vacuums and shampoos carpets; sweeps and mops kitchen floors. Cleans exhaust vents, hoods, windows, ceilings, and walls. Cleans and sanitizes trash cans; disposes of trash. Unloads and stores food from delivery trucks.

A one year probationary period may be required
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty
A medical examination is required. Light to heavy physical effort may be required such as lifting and moving items weighing up to 40 pounds, continuous standing and walking, stooping, reaching, pushing, bending, and working on ladders.
Must be willing to accept varying and/or rotating shifts to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
Applicants must be able to understand and follow simple instructions, and be able to use hand tools for cleaning and operating simple machines to perform food service work such as cleaning tables, setting up food in lines, setting up steam tables, setting up dining room tables, make cold sandwiches, operate a dishwasher, clean cooking utensils, etc.
Demonstrated ability must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position.
Skills and Knowledge:
Must have skill and knowledge to perform tasks involving several procedures and be able to concentrate on work assignments despite interruptions and distractions.
A working knowledge of sanitation standards is required as well as knowledge of procedures to prevent contamination.
Must know basic food handling techniques, personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures.
Must have the ability to read and understand written material.
Must have knowledge of basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies: knowledge, skills, abilities, additional screening criteria and other characteristics.
Highly Preferred are candidates that meet the minimum qualifications and meet the following criteria:
Meet the State/Local age requirement of 18 years to serve alcohol AND
Possess a valid Driver's License.
Proof of age and license will be required prior to appointment.
