The incumbent of this position will serve as an Administrative Assistant within the Office of Human Resources providing administrative support to the Director of Human Resources and the Deputy Director of Human Resources. In this capacity, the incumbent is responsible for the administrative and implementation of a variety of important and special assignments.

Current and former federal employees with competitive status, reinstatement eligibles, Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) eligibles, Veterans (VEOA, VRA, and 30% Disabled), and special non-competitive appointment eligibles (e.g., Persons with Disabilities, Certain Military Spouses, Peace Corps and Vista Volunteers, etc.).
Perform a wide range of special projects to include researching, collecting, and presenting information composed from many different organizations.
Oversee the needs of OHR to include planning, developing, coordinating, tracking and monitoring the operating budget.
Organize briefings for high-level meetings. Work closely with the Director, OHR and Deputy Director, OHR to create and update slides and spreadsheets for briefings and professional presentations to high-level officials including Agency Executives, NCUA Board, and Congress.
Manage correspondence for Executive level signature ranging from the Director of Human Resources to the Chairman. Draft initial or final correspondence and monitor such correspondence to insure actions taken are completed accurately and the appropriate procedures are followed.
Maintain the Director of Human Resources and Deputy Director of Human Resources' daily calendar, schedule meetings and appointments, accept or decline invitations and make changes based on personal knowledge of the Directors' schedules.
Suitable adjudication of background/security investigation is required.
A probationary/trial period may be required.
This position is telework eligible.
Qualifications
You must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
To qualify at the CU-09 level, you must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-08 level in federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This must include experience managing the office's administrative functions; preparing, reviewing, or modifying documents, letters, or memorandums; utilizing automated systems to prepare presentations or reports, and monitoring and tracking budgets.
You must meet the qualifications for this position by the closing date of this announcement.

SALARY: Pay will be set using NCUA's Compensation policy. The salary range shown is NCUA's Local Pay Rate (LPR) which includes a locality rate of 42.87 percent for the Alexandria, Virginia geographical area.
