This incumbent is under the direct supervision of the Installation N9 and is responsible for performing non-supervisory marketing and promotional assistance. Summary

Responsibilties include planning, executing and evaluating the effectiveness of communications programs.
Responsible for planning, directing, initiating and implementing a comprehensive marketing program for N9 programs. Develops and implements marketing plans, strategies and programs in coordination with other departments. Provides input for annual budget, tracks credit card purchases (if applicable), ensures policies and procedures are followed. Plans, coordinates and conducts market research, including demographics, surveys, focus groups, etc. Carries out public relations activities for departments. Serves as the primary point of contact for media and outside organizations.
Plans, coordinates and conducts advertising and commercial sponsorship activities for applicable departments.
Plans, organizes work, and manages internal procedures and resources to ensure maximum productivity and economics. Prepares financial plan and related records and reports and exercises authority on approved budget.
Gathers information, completes publicity requests and distribution plans fully, submits and monitors progress through Graphic Arts and Design Staff. Develops and maintains effective tracking tools to ensure publicity deadlines are met. Acts as point of contact for proofs requiring manager approval, and is liaison between manager and designer.
Handles administrative duties including researching and ordering approved equipment, supplies and promotional materials. Tracks supply inventories and maintains security of office, supplies and equipment. Writes and proofreads correspondence, memos and email.
Maintains files and records as required including photo libraries and media archives.
Must be able to successfuly pass a background investigation that includes a National Agency Check.
Must participate in Direct Deposit/Electronice Fund Transfer Program.
Ability to transport marketing materials weighing up to 20 pounds on a regular basis and over 20 pounds on occassion.
Must meet minimum education and experience requirements as set forth in Qualifications section of announcement.
Qualifications
The incumbent must have three (3) years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field AND a minimum of one (1) year’s work experience in marketing. Must demonstrate knowledge of all phases of marketing and communications, including knowledge of principles, methods, practices, trends and techniques.
Incumbent must have excellent writing skills, strong oral communication skills and problem solving, creative negotiation and sales skills.
Must possess skill in gathering and organizing information. Must possess proven ability to analyze business needs and develop marketing plans and recommendations in a fast paced environment. Must be able to handle multiple projects within a deadline. Skill in using PC and various software programs. Should possess solid organizational skills and be detail oriented.
