Duties

Help
  • Coordinate technical system changes to the billing and payment processes and general oversight to the support staff within the office.
  • Perform operational oversight for the PIPS billing and payment system and provide technical advice to customer agencies relative to the system as well as maintain system documentation.
  • Submit complex system change requests, conduct testing and acceptance of changes, considering impact to workflow, work methods and procedures, assignment of work, etc.
  • Develop the technical procedures and program guidance (issuances, internal directives, manuals, and instructions) that govern the automated case billing and payment processes.

Qualifications

For the GS 11: You must have at least one year of experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal Service that included applying knowledge of the laws, regulations, and procedures that pertain to billing and payment functions; developing case pricing models; conducting research and summarizing findings of an automated billing system; and choosing analytical methods, provisions, or applicable regulations to plan and carry out assignments.
OR
Completed one of the following: (a) all of the requirements for a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree (other than J.D.) with major field of study in a related field that demonstrates the competencies needed to do this work, or (b) three full years of graduate education leading to such a degree.
OR
Have a combination of experience and education that meets the minimum qualification requirements.
