The Executive Director of the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB or Board) is the chief executive officer of the FASAB. This includes oversight and management of the people, budgets, purchasing, programs, and contracts; managing the research staff supporting Board deliberations; and furthering the development of products aiming to improve the usefulness and effectiveness of federal financial reports. This position answers directly to the Board members.

ABOUT FASAB: The FASAB is an independent entity. The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) provides personnel services to the Board and positions are covered under GAO's performance based compensation system, which is pay banded.
CAREER SES APPOINTMENT: You will be eligible for reinstatement to the SES as a career appointee or eligible for noncompetitive transfer to a career SES appointment in the civil service SES under GAO’s interchange agreement with the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
