These positions will be located in either our Minneapolis Office or our St. Paul Branch Office.
Assistant U.S. Attorneys (AUSAs) in the Criminal Division prosecute federal criminal cases in the District. Criminal Division AUSAs advise federal law enforcement agents on criminal investigations, present criminal cases to the grand jury, try criminal cases before the United States District Court, and represent the United States in criminal appeals before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. Candidates should be capable of handling a variety of significant and complex criminal prosecutions.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Salary Information: Assistant United States Attorney's pay is administratively determined based, in part, on the number of years of professional attorney experience. The range of basic pay is $70,336 to $164,100 which includes 23.37% locality pay.

How you will be evaluated
You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
