The National Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission was created by federal law to build a memorial to General and President Eisenhower in our nation's capital. It will honor his extraordinary career and accomplishments in both of his roles as supreme Allied Commander during World War II, and as 34th President of the United States. The design brings to life his remarkable leadership in the world he helped shape and the enduring impact of his legacy. Located within Eisenhower Square, a four-acre site that sits prominently at the base of Capitol Hill, the memorial core features groupings of heroic-sized, free-standing, bronze sculptures, stone bas reliefs, and quotations from Eisenhower's most famous speeches. Construction has begun with dedication expected in May of 2020. Visit our website: http://www.eisenhowermemorial.gov/
