Provides Child Welfare Services, General Assistance, and improve services to families of the Northern Cheyenne Reservation.
Develop and improve services aimed at Child Welfare and Family services on the reservation.
Receives child neglect, sexual/physical abuse complaints, conduct investigations through home visits, personal interview with child and/or parent, and may be summoned to testify in Tribal Court.
Serve on a Child Protection tems, and assigned to an on-call rotation list.
Provide and responsible for providing family welfare services, and counseling to unmarried partes and families in the reservation community.
Monitor and recommend the release of funds from IIM accounts for minors, guardians, foster parents, etc.

Individual Occupational Requirements
Basic Requirements: Degree: social work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the master's degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Master's degree with practicum: Applicants who complete all of the requirements for a master's degree in social work that included a practicum are eligible for GS-9.
In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirements, applicants must have specialized experience and/or directly related education shown below:

General: None. Education: 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree. Specialized Experience: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-7?.
Specialized Experience GS-09: Specialized experience demonstrates the applicants' experience, knowledge, and skill in a Bureau's Social Service Program. Receipt of child neglect, sexual abuse and physical abuse complaints and conducted investigations through home visitation and personal interviews with child/parents. Provided counseling to unmarried parent(s) and also provide family welfare services. Establish a therapeutic relationship, accept hostility, and be non-judgmental in client activity.
GS(11): General: None. Education: 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. Specialized Experience: 1 year equivalent to at least GS-9?.
Specialized Experience GS-11: Specialized experience demonstrates the applicants' independent experience, knowledge, and skill in a Bureau's Social Service Program, assist with the development and improvement and services aimed at Child Welfare and Family Services. Receipt of child neglect, sexual abuse and physical abuse complaints and conducted investigations through home visitation and personal interviews with child/parents. Child Protection Team case manager of assigned cases, recruit foster parents, develop, evaluate, train and recommend approval based on Tribal/State standards. Provided counseling to unmarried parent(s) and also provide family welfare services. Establish a therapeutic relationship, accept hostility, and be non-judgmental in client activity.
The full performance level of this position is 11.
