The purpose of this position is to oversee daily housekeeping and custodial operations for the lodging program. Utilizes the Property Management System (PMS) to access reports for determining work assignments for housekeepers. May be required to act as the supervisor in the absence of the supervisor. Conducts daily inspections of rooms, housekeeping carts, common areas, laundry facilities, and maintains written documentation of these inspections. Assists with training on proper work methods and safety procedures. Responsible for the security of all items in the storeroom and/or assigned storage areas. Ensures equipment is properly maintained, stored, and accounted for. Assists with regular housekeeping duties and fills in where needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Requires one year of work experience that demonstrates knowledge of basic principles, concepts, standards, regulations and administration related to housekeeping and/or custodial operations. Professional knowledge of the lodging organization, administration, policies/procedures, and practices in conducting day-to-day operations. Must possess basic math and reading skills. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing in English.
This position may be designated ALPHA personnel for inclement weather or in the interst of national security and may be required to report to work when other employees are excused. This position is subject to the possibility of workdays on weekend and holidays and rotating shifts. May be recalled to duty and/or required to work overtime. May be required to posess a valid state driver license. A complete physical examination may be required. Subject to a favorable national agency check. Incumbent is expected to meet the requirements of a Certified Hospitality Supervisor (CHS) within six months of employment and all requirements for housekeeping/custodial services as outlined in the Lodging Career Path Guide.
