The position is located in the DISA NBIS organization under the Executive Deputy Director (EDD), 5TH Estate Component. The position reports directly to Executive Deputy Director, an SES Tier III.
The NBIS Executive is responsible for providing authoritative direction and guidance to shape the organization, direction, and control of information (and information) technology and the supporting resources required to achieve defined objectives.
The incumbent's role and actions will serve to design, acquire, develop, secure, operate, and sustain the complete set of information technology products and services to enable efficient operations of the newly established NBIB.
Works closely and coordinate with OPM's CIO; DISA's Director, OPC; CAE, and RME in order to ensure a successful and smooth delivery of services and products to OPM's NBIB; and then ensure its security, sustainment, and lifecycle evolvement.
Providing planning and guidance for the operation, maintenance, and sustainment of the NBIB, IT services and infrastructure.
Delivering information support services enabling the customers to meet functional, strategic, and operational goals.
Services include assisting the functional organization with the definition of the technical requirements for NBIB information system that include but are not limited to:
1. Providing information processing, storage, transport, and display capabilities, information technology operation, and maintenance of the utility;
2. Introducing innovative business practices in the delivery of information technology;
3. Directing the performance of day-to-day technical support through use of analytical and business presentation techniques;
4. Directing the management of the installation, operation, and maintenance of information Technology facilities; and
5. Execute DISA approved plans to replace/sustain current legacy systems in OPM.
6. Discuss with EDD/CAE, RME, and OPC, to assist in migrating legacy systems to the future enterprise capabilities for OPM as documented in the DISA Strategic Plan and Analysis of Alternatives.
Providing marketing communication, computer, and network services to OPM and its customers.
Provides the single marketing voice to the customer for DISA Enterprise Services mission. Develops proposals and support agreements for delivery of DISA products and services;
Managing and directing assigned programs for DISA. Programs include migration of legacy systems to standard systems, standard business practices, and definition of operational acquisition requirements.
This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
