The incumbent serves within the Acquisition Division as an Acquisition Specialist performing various acquisition and contract support functions.

Duties

Help
  • Manage and Administers invoice and payment functions for goods and services procured through the procurement and acquisition process for awarded contracts.
  • Serves as Contracting Officer?s Technical Representative (COTR) on assigned procurements and contracts.
  • Manages a variety of acquisition and procurement actions for specialized equipment, supplies and services.
  • Coordinates with customers to develop acquisition requirement documentation and support contract actions with appropriate program/project managers and contracting support centers.
  • Perform duties associated with management of the agency GPC program (Billing Official).

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

The specialized experience is defined as: Assessing procurement activities, acquisition business processes, customer service, and other acquisition program areas; and performing procurement actions within acquisition regulations to support the awarding of procurement contracts.

Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience for this grade level.
