Duties

Help
  • Serves as initial point of contact for emergency situation complaints or inquiries received telephonically or in person.
  • Assess emergency situations and determine appropriate course of action required to dispatch emergency personnel.
  • Assists the Senior Shift Supervisor with the overall operation of the Police Desk.
  • Ensures accuracy of daily entries made to the Police Blotter and Journal.
  • Responsible for the operation of two Detenion Cells and continuous monitoring of all confined prisoners via closed circuit TV.

  • This position requires that you must be Army law enforcement certified or complete the Department of the Army Civilian Police (DACP)/U.S. Army Military Police School (USAMPS) Law Enforcement Academy within 12 months of appointment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the ?experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting inspections of access control points; protecting property; management of traffic accident scenes; conducting short investigations; gathering information and facts pertinent to an investigation; reviewing and assisting with preparation of statements and reports based on the investigation; identifying and apprehending individuals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-?06).

  • This position requires that you submit to random urinalysis exams and sign a DA Form 5019 drug testing position form.
  • This position requires successful completion of pre-placement and annual physical examinations.
  • This position requires the successful completion of a physical agility test semi-annually.
  • This position is subject to meeting established hearing and vision tests.
  • This position requires employee to wear a uniform that must be clean and possess a professional neat appearance.

  • This position requires certification in CPR techniques and knowledge for first aid.
  • This position requires the wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but no limited to; bullet resistant vest, eye and ear protection, in case of chemical/hazardous emergency full body PPE including breather device (gas mask).
