The OA, was founded in 1977 by President Jimmy Carter to carry out the mission of providing effective, efficient and economical administrative services to the EOP. The 2018 Office of Administration Summer Student Internship will begin June 5, 2018 to August 11, 2018.
The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (OCAO) supports the President by supplying a full range of administrative services to the Executive Office of the President (EOP) components.
The internship are located within the OCAO, Employee Relations Division. The Employee Relations Division is responsible for ensuring compliance with pre-employment and random drug testing requirements, managing the Voluntary Leave Transfer Program (VLTP), managing Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests, and providing accurate, timely, and reliable advice and guidance to supervisors and managers regarding employee performance and/or conduct issues.
The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, Employee Relations Division requests an intern who will:
Assist with pre-employment and random drug testing requirements for all EOP employees.
Assist with managing the VLTP to include ensuring applications are accurate and donated leave is properly processed.
Develop templates for use enterprise-wide for Employee Relations and Performance Management issues.
Prepare data driven metrics regarding ER issues.
Assist with developing internal management controls for various Employee Relations and related programs.
Must be a citizen or national of the United States
Be registered with Selective Service
Obtain a favorable security determination
Enrolled in a degree seeking academic program throughout internship
Must Have a 3.0 GPA
Must be able to work a minimum 15 hours per week
Relocation Expenses will not be paid

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must meet the qualification requirements outlined below to be considered minimally qualified for this position. The qualification requirements are in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standards.
