The OA, was founded in 1977 by President Jimmy Carter to carry out the mission of providing effective, efficient and economical administrative services to the EOP. Within this entity are financial management, information technology support, human resources management, research assistance, legal services, and printing and graphic design work.

The EOP is responsible for a multitude of tasks ranging from communicating the President's Message to the American people, to promoting our trade interests abroad.

The 2018 Office of Administration Summer Student Internship will begin June 5, 2018 to August 24, 2018.
The Procurement and Contract Management Division provides timely procurement of supplies, services, information technology, and telecommunication services for the best values, while maintaining the public's trust by spending taxpayers' dollars wisely, and meeting public policy objectives.
The required tasks include:
Assist in the pre-award and post-award functions of acquisitions for supplies and services
Draft funding and administrative modifications for orders and contracts
Conduct general market research for procurement actions
Manage contract files
Enter procurement data into the Contract Database Tracking System
Assist with the Purchase Card Program
Assist with the Small Business Program
Assist with the Leased Vehicle Program
Coordinate internal training and conference space
Take minutes during meetings
Perform other tasks as needed in support of the procurement office
Must be a citizen or national of the United States
Be registered with Selective Service
Obtain a favorable security determination
Enrolled in a degree seeking academic program throughout internship
Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week
Must Have a 3.0 GPA
Relocation Expenses will not be paid

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must meet the qualification requirements outlined below to be considered minimally qualified for this position. The qualification requirements are in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standards.

Education
