As Logistics Officer, you will be responsible to the Chief of Branch for providing technical support to all operational and contingency planning activities in support of North Atlantic Council (NAC) approved deployed operations and exercises, contributing to Operational Logistics Support Partnership (OLSP) Member States projects related to expeditionary operations and logistics requirements, and for NSPA's readiness posture to include the availability of in-service deployable equipment and the provision and training of deployable personnel. More precisely, you will perform the following functions:
Assisting the Senior Logistics Officers with the provision of contracted logistics support arrangements for expeditionary operations and logistics projects.
Monitoring contractor performance to ensure technical contractual conditions are fulfilled and proposing corrective actions as required.
Assisting with integrating required contractual support solutions in operational logistics planning activities and contributing to the operational logistics planning process.
Assisting with planning and developing technical aspects of contracts in support of Crisis Response Operations (CRO).
Contributing to the provision of consultation and/or advice to NATO and Nations in developing technical aspects of contracted logistic support solutions for CRO or logistics projects.
Contributing to planning and analysing options for new and potentially new projects relevant to CRO activities of the Agency and formulating appropriate recommendations that lessen the operational impacts on NSPA.
Performing risk assessment and mitigation for complex operational logistics support projects.
Assisting in establishing annual resource requirements and workload forecasts for the Branch.
Preparing and participating in meetings and conferences as directed.
Preparing correspondence, presentations, reports, database queries and statistics as required using modern office automation equipment and software.

This position is designated as an Emergency Essential (E-E) position. In the event of crisis or war the incumbent will, subject to the agreement of his/her national authorities, remain in the service of the Agency.
Deployment will be expected to specified areas in support of NATO council operations 6 months out of every 18 months throughout the contractual period.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized experience: To Qualify applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-11).
One year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade or level requiring application of the knowledge,
skills and abilities of the position being filled.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

If an employee brings a family member to an overseas location who requires medical or dental care, then the employee will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
Pay retention may be offered to successful applicants for positions at overseas locations. For this provision to apply to employees already overseas, the selected individual would have to require a permanent change of station move and would have to be selected as a result of a recruitment effort that had been extended outside of the overseas command involved.
