Summary

This position is located in the 524 Electronics Maintenance Sq/MXDPB. However, this announcement may be used to fill other positions at Hill Air Force Base.
This is a centrally managed position that is located in the Logistics career field.
A one year supervisory probationary period is required if selectee has not previously met this requirement.
This is an acquisition demonstration project position (Tier-2), NH-1601-03, equivalent to the GS-12/GS-13, WITH A TYPICAL SALARY RANGE OF $$94,425 - $111,560.

Help

As an Industrial Production Manager, NH-1601-03 you will plan, organize, and direct the activities of the organization, ensuring operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Other duties include:

  • Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time.
  • Participates in projects and initiatives and performs special assignments.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with management levels and all coordinating agencies.
  • Plan workload to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short/long-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. SECURITY CLEARANCE: Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a non-sensitive security clearance as a condition of employment.
2. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work is primarily sedentary. May require some walking, standing, bending, carrying and/or lifting of light items such as paper or books. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
3. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is performed in a typical office setting, requiring the use of normal safety precautions necessary for an office environment. The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level close to the work of this position that has given you the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform. Typically, we would find this experience in work within a field that is closely related. To be creditable, the specialized experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-11) or (NH-02) pay band or equivalent. Specialized experience is described as independently defining, directing, or leading highly challenging projects/programs as well as resolving highly complex problems by developing, integrating, and implementing solutions and establishing precedents in application of problem-solving techniques to enhance existing processes.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the applicable principles, concepts, policies, and laws; functions, programs, and systems
applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve problems; and all aspects of support.
2. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Ability to plan, organize, and direct, mentor, motivate and appraise the staff of a small to medium sized
organization.
4. Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options.
5. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
