Background or Security Investigation: This position requires a Top Secret clearance. Employment in this position requires a background investigation which may delay your starting date. Position will be filled under the Department of Defense, Office of Inspector General Recent Graduates Program (Pathways Program). The Pathways Recent Graduates Program is open to recent graduates who are U.S. citizens or Nationals. This program provides an entry-level developmental experience to individuals who have obtained a qualifying bachelor's, master's, professional, doctorate degree from a qualifying educational institution within the previous 2 years. Veterans unable to apply within two years of receiving their degree, due to military service obligation, have as many as six years after degree completion to apply. Upon completion of the Pathways Program, the selectee may be converted to a permanent competitive service position contingent upon meeting program requirements and the needs of the agency.

You qualify for the GS-07 grade level if you possess one of the following:
A. Completion of a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in a field of study that demonstrates the competencies required by this position with either (1) a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale; (2) a 3.5 GPA based on a 4.0 scale for all required courses completed in a qualifying major field of study at either the time of application or during the last two years of your undergraduate curriculum; (3) class standing of upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or a major subdivision of the college; or, (4) membership in a National Scholastic Honor Society certified by the Association of College Honor Societies, excluding freshman honor societies; OR
B. One full year of graduate level education in an accredited or pre-accredited college or university in one of the following related fields (criminal justice, homeland security, justice studies, law enforcement, courts and judicial systems, forensic technology, forensic psychology, or corrections and rehabilitation or other related field) from an accredited college or university. The education must demonstrate the competencies necessary to do the work of the position; OR
C. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to do the work related to the major duties and knowledge requirements of this position. Specifically, for this position, specialized experience the review or implementation of administrative processes for an organization such as those for budget or resource requests (justification for allocations and expenditure tracking), human resource management (workforce planning and recruitment packages, providing advice to supervisors and employees on human resources services), travel and transportation guidance, inventory management and other administrative services that are provided for a large, geographically dispersed organization. Such experience should have provided the knowledge base that would allow the applicant to successfully analyze and make recommendations for improvement in these processes; OR
D. A combination of education and experience as listed above.
