This position will be filled as an NH-03 Medium, with a starting salary of $73,899 to $102,620 (includes 17.82% locality), unless statutory or regulatory rates prevail.

Help

As a General Engineer you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Identifies rules, principles, or relationships that explain facts, data. or other information. and draws logical conclusions. Analyzes and provides solutions to complex problems.
- Develops and maintains cooperative working relationships. collaborates as a team member to achieve common goals.
- Guides the technical/functional efforts of individuals or team members as they interact with customers.
- Represents GMQ on field visits to various mission critical suppliers and non-mission critical suppliers as needed to conduct mission assurance audits on MDA compliance.
- Communicates tasking results at all levels, internally and externally.
- Plans and utilizes appropriate resources to accomplish projects within established schedule.

This position requires Acquisition Workforce Level II certification in Production, Quality and Manufacturing. Certification prior to hiring is not essential but must be accomplished within 24 months after entry into this position.

Selectee must obtain mandatory DAWIA certifications within 24 months of entrance on duty.
Selectee must acquire 80 continuous learning points every two years

You must have one year Specialized Experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private/military sector) giving the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position. Experience must be reflected in your resume.

Specialized experience required for this position is:
- Expertise in Continuous Process Improvement.
- Expertise in identifying Key Manufacturing and Production Processes and recommend mandatory inspection points.
- Proficient in briefing information and presenting written communications to explain the status and results of tasks and projects.

  • Identifying and resolving potential quality and mission assurance issues before hardware is delivered and/or failures occur.
  • Expressing facts and ideas orally in a professional and constructive manner to inform, clarify, and resolve issues. Presents information briefings to explain the status and results of tasks and projects.
