About the Position:
The Walla Walla District US Army Corps of Engineers is comprised of motivated and talented employees providing the very best engineering services for communities in the Pacific Northwest. The District's civil works' boundaries generally follow the Snake River drainage basin and includes approximately 107,000 square miles in six states - Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, and small parts of Nevada and Utah. A U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officer commands the District's professional civilian workforce of more than 800 personnel in engineering, scientist, technician, trade/craft, and administrative support staff positions. The District helps manage local water resources for navigation, flood damage reduction, disaster assistance, hydroelectric power generation, and other natural and heritage areas.

Help

- Responsible for ensuring contractor shop drawing submittals (transmittals) and Requests For Information (RFI) are properly posted in the Resident Management System (RMS) and distributed in a timely manner and provide status information as requested.
- Receive all copies of transmittals and logs all pertinent data into automated transmittal register. Review transmittal for errors or changes.
- Receives copies of changes to the contract documents, both amendments and modifications, and incorporates them into the proper places.
- Receive copies of contract plans and specifications after award. Receive amendments and modifications to the contract drawings and specifications

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing clerical, office, and other duties that includes the use of a variety of computer software programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

OR

Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
