1. Assists higher graded staff in processing a variety of routine human resource tasks requiring knowledge of Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) civilian personnel rules and regulations.
2. Assists higher graded staff in writing and posting vacancy announcements, receiving and rating applications for employment, preparing lists of qualified candidates and referring these to management for interview and selection.
3. Assists in the preparation and processing of documents related to NAF employment.
4. Initiates pre-employment screening processes and clears candidates for employment.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.
**This is a developmental position leading to the full performance level of NF-0203-03 as described in position description number 19551 (NAF/Recruitment & Placement).**
NF-03 Duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Performs a wide variety of technical support in a generalist capacity to administer the NAF Human Resources Program.
2. Conducts strategic recruitment discussions with management officials to advise on recruitment strategies.
3. Rates resumes for qualifications, hiring preference/priority criteria and other job-related criteria.
4. Responds to applicant and management inquiries on procedures such as application procedures, application statuses, criteria used in qualifications decisions.
5. Performs miscellaneous clerical work such as typing a variety of documents, compiling information from reports, creating and maintaining folders and written responses to applicant or management inquiries.
6. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.

7. This is a CHRA NAF Career Path I position. Incumbent must complete the requirements for CHRA NAF Career Path I within eighteen (18) months of entrance into CHRA Career Path I.

Qualifications
Possess six (6) months of progressively experience in clerical/administrative, which demonstrates the ability to accomplish various human resources tasks and utilize human resource information systems (i.e. USA Staffing, Avue, Resumix, PeopleSoft, etc.).
**Highly Preferred: In addition to above minimum qualification requirements, applicants will possess three (3) to six (6) months' work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office. Experience in utilizing Human Resources database such as: DCPDS and USASTAFFING (or similar systems).
