Special Note: If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which is $112,021 - $145,629.

The selectee for this position will serve as a Supervisory Fleet Support Team (FST) Assistant Program Manager for the Logistics (APML) for Air Combat Electronics Systems program office, PMA 209, in the Logistics Management Integration Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. The FST APML will provide technical support for logistics issues and advise all assigned Integrated Program Teams (IPTs) on approaches to address and integrate all logistic elements into their program. He/she will also direct the efforts of FST logistic personnel providing life cycle product support to assigned weapons systems

Help

The successful selectee will perform the following duties:

  • Provide maintenance planning and logistics planning in the sustainment phases of the system/equipment life cycle.
  • Coordinate integration and management of maintenance/logistics support elements throughout sustainment.
  • Oversee in the planning and implementation status of the modification program.
  • Provide technical and administrative continuity to the logistics team.
  • Recommend changes to ILS policies and processes to ensure effective incorporation of approved changes into the joint logistics support program for common combat electronic system.
  • Review the attainment of program objectives to identify and correct deficiencies in established logistics support program.
  • Develop logistics plans; and make written and oral presentations for program stakeholders on project status, technical problems, scheduling and costs.

Requirements:

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this SupervisoryLogistics Management Specialist NM-0346-05 position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist experience at the NM-04 STRL Pay Band or equivalent to GS-Grade Level (GS-13/14) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Utilizing advanced logistics concepts, principles, and practices of to provide integrated logistics support (ILS) and to take concluding action on any area of logistics for the assigned aviation program; (2) Coordinating and/or assigning work assignments to subordinates, based on organizational priorities, selective consideration of difficulty and requirements of assignments, and/or capabilities of employees; (3) Providing technical leadership and guidance to subordinates, contractors and/or integrated program team members; (4) Acting as a point of contact to internal and external contacts to ensure aviation program needs are addressed and goals are met; and (5) Functioning as recognized authority on ILS policies and procedures and advanced state-of-the-art processes by developing and extending ILS concepts and practices for assigned aviation program

This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and requires additional education, training and experience. This position has been identified as a Logistics Management Career Field at Level III.
