The primary purpose of this position is to
provide support to the Director, 56th Range Management Office (RMO)
and the Weapons Training Range Manager, (RMO) implementing necessary policies,
directives, programs, and procedures for the establishment and maintenance of
the Barry M. Goldwater (BMGR) range complex and surrounding associated
airspace.

Performs bombing and gunnery range
management duties critical to projects involving the BMGR road map, aircraft
threat emitters, range scoring systems, air combat maneuvering instrumentation
upgrades, and range interactive initiatives.
·
Plans and carries out implementation of
wing aircraft training range programs.
·
Participates in special
projects/initiatives, and performs special assignments as assigned.
·
Prepares and delivers oral presentations
such as briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions with
other staff functions and activities to secure cooperation, resolve
controversial matters, and convey information relative to newly proposed
programs or changes to existing programs.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade
(GS-09) or equivalent. Specialized
experience must include comprehensive knowledge of regulations, standards,
procedures, methods, and techniques applicable to a broad range of procedures
supporting a complex training range and weapons safety program, knowledge of
the body of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to a training
range and weapons safety program to sufficiently interpret and modify or
significantly depart from standard techniques in devising specialized operating
practices concerned with accomplishing range safety objectives, knowledge of
organizational and communication skills to develop working relationships with
diverse military, civilian, professional, and technical populations, verbal and
writing skills sufficient to prepare weapons training range
presentations/briefings, training, and reports.

and practices associated with management of a weapons training range.

Skill in designing and conducting weapons
bombing and gunnery training range studies, and preparing reports with
recommendations and solutions for range operation issues.

techniques of bombing and gunnery range operation investigation, analysis,
resolution of safety problems/risks and formal reporting procedures.
4.
Knowledge of communication techniques,
principles, media and instructions to communicate effectively, both orally and
in writing.
5.
Knowledge of educational training
techniques, methods, and materials sufficient to prepare and present formal
briefings and instructional sessions.
6.
Ability to use various software
applications to sufficiently track data, analyzed and report trends in reports,
and prepares PowerPoint briefings. Ability to accomplish complex tasks
independently, plan projects, and meet deadlines.
