The selectee for this position will serve as a Computer Assistant in the DHA Health Information Technology (HIT) Directorate, Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) Division, Operations and Sustainment (O&S) Branch, Network Affairs Section, Video Network Center (VNC) of the DEFENSE HEALTH AGENCY.

Help

The successful selectee will perform the following duties:

  • Provides customer advice and assistance in planning, scheduling, and coordinating audio and video conferences involving business meetings, conferences,presentations, and education and training sessions.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates the provision of conference support services such as administrative development and implementation, space utilization, supplies, forms and files management, communication services, security, automation, etc.
  • Determines resource availability by tracking multiple variables including port availability, approximate bandwidth availability, date availability, and time zone differences.
  • Maintains web based tools to measure productivity and to compile statistical data on cost benefits obtained through the utilization of video teleconferencing services.

Requirements:

Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final (e.g., confidential/secret/top secret, etc.) security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Work requires regular and recurring periods of walking, bending, stooping, and lifting and carrying stacks of paper and equipment components weighing up to 50 pounds between the work areas, work stations, conference rooms, user offices, and/or video teleconference operation facilities.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: coordinating audio-visual services to support live video teleconferencing productions.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
