Duties

Help
  • Serves as Senior All Source Intelligence Analyst.
  • Coordinate analytical recommendations to meet consumer requirement and established updated procedures of analysis.
  • Establish long-range plans to satisfy intelligence shortfalls.
  • Develops in-depth intelligence analytical assessments.
  • Present program submissions for the intelligence activities in accordance with command.
  • Conduct regular liaison with senior-level officials.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
  • This is an Emergency-Essential (E-E) position subject to deployment; E-E and must be exempted from military mobilization or recall obligations by being placed in the Standby Reserve or other appropriate action.
  • Requires extensive travel, both CONUS and OCONUS, up to 30% of the time, on very short notice.
  • Requires frequent extended duty with long hours under high pressure with generally high-risk job responsibilities.
  • Requires duties to be performed under austere and potentially hazardous conditions during exercises and deployment operations. Uniform is required. May be required to deploy into areas in which hostile action may occur.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a singlescope background investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI) and selected Special Access Programs.
  • Shift work, irregular tours of duty and/or extended duty will be required.
  • May be required to undergo psychological screening.
  • Must apply for and obtain Staff-Like-Access (SLA) in order to perform temporary duty with Other Government Agencies.
  • A pre-employment physical is required.
  • This position requires access to firearms and/or ammunition, and therefore is subject to the Lautenberg amendment to the gun control act of 1968.

Army DCIPS positions apply Veteran's Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 U.S.C., in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one (1) year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.

Specialized Experience is defined as experience with 1) Experience planning, coordinating, and executing Counter-Intelligence / HUMINT related requirements, AND 2.) Providing oversight to Counter-Intelligence and/or HUMINT Operations.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12).

Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

  • Technical Competence


Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled.This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
