Duties

Help

Responsible for the efficient and economic operation of the Rod and Gun Club facility, operations and activities. Plans, organizes, and coordinates recreational activities, taking into consideration the type of shooting, the number of teams, condition of field and equipment, etc. Plans and coordinates the details of special events such as leagues and tournaments. Ensures all operations are conducted in accordance with Air Force Directives and other manuals and periodicals involved in skeet and trap shooting. Develops new programs that enhance or expand the scope of the Rod and Gun Club in order to promote more participation, membership, and increased revenue potential. Schedules and publicizes various tournaments, leagues, and other activities. Establishes, reviews and evaluates purchases of supplies, equipment, and resale merchandise. Establishes financial goals commensurate with market analysis of area or region. Develops and executes an effective budget. Performs personnel management responsibility. Responsible for workforce management to include recruitment and staff training. Ensures safe and efficient food operations. Schedules employees to meet the needs of the Rod and Gun Club. Rates performance and recommends awards. Ensures proper military and civilian protocol is practiced. Responsible for quarterly and annual Nonappropriated Fund Budget updates. Submits updates to unfunded requirements. Maintains club house in a clean, safe and orderly condition. Ensures all Firearms, explosives, fire and housekeeping rules are observed. Maintains membership club files, and collects fees and dues. Develops and maintains operating instructions, policy and reports as required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Experience in administrative, professional, or technical experience or other work which provided a general knowledge of management principles and practices. Experience and understanding of Rod & Gun Club rules and practices, applicable safety procedures and Air Force and State regulations and directives regarding weapons is highly desired. Must also have a working knowledge of firearms, ammunition, and shooting sports. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis: Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must meet minimum age requirements for sale of alcoholic beverages. This is a position of trust. Must be able to receive a favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Must be able to receive a Certificate of Eligibility (COE). Must have a valid state driver's license. This is a designated drug testing position. Must be able to obtain a ServSafe certificate.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
