Duties

Help
  • You will plan, coordinates and executes the enclave’s physical/virtual server environment.
  • You will research, coordinates and executes the installation of new hardware and software technologies, to include integration problem troubleshooting/resolution and operational/security testing.
  • You will oversee the delivery of Tier 2/3 server/systems services’ support, including installation, configuration and troubleshooting, in response to requested requirements.
  • You will manage and Administers the Disaster Recovery capability with disk imaging and enterprise back-up utilities

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following and Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

(1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT related experience demonstrating this competency includes: Reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been aside by others to review their work or data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards.(2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT related experience demonstrating this competency includes: Evaluating new information technology (IT) tools and trends to meet business requirements of customers.(3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT related experience demonstrating this competency includes: Briefing senior leaders on information technology (IT) policies to streamline corporate resources.(4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT related experience demonstrating this competency includes: Diagnosing networked system failures to isolate sources of problems between equipment, networks, systems software, and application systems.

In addition to demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as:

1) Applying concepts, principles, methods and practices to effectively support customer IT requirements; 2) Utilizing IT products and services sufficient to evaluate, recommend the acquisition of, implement, and disseminate IT security tools, procedures, and practices to protect information assets; and specifications to ensure compliance with IT security requirements, 3) Planning, implementing, and supporting functions as they pertain to delivering IT products and services via various methods; 4) Providing IT customer service to enable customer capability to accomplish mission requirements; 5) Employing performance/measurement methods, tools, and techniques to effectively monitor IT performance to ensure level of support requirements are being delivered as specified in the contract vehicle.
