Duties

Help

Prepares and serves a variety of hot and cold beverages and food.

Receives payment, operates cash register, makes and returns change to patrons. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability.

Maintains work area in a neat and clean manner.

Sets up/cleans tables for customers and replenishes condiment items as necessary.

Performs preventive maintenance and cleaning.

Also performs heavy duty cleaning tasks as required such as; coffee machines, ceilings, under and behind equipment, refrigerators, washes floors and walls, sanitizes garbage cans.

May unload stock from delivery trucks.

Collects and transfers trash from work area to disposal area.

Assists with inventories, identifies items for re-ordering.

May be required to open and close the facility.

Scheduled tour of duty will require evenings, weekends, and holiday work hours.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

The 31st Force Support Squadron is not currently providing logistical support. Applicants must provide proper documentation indicating they are already a supported member of Aviano AB.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Must be able to follow simple oral instructions, be able to use hand tools for cleaning, and operate simple machines.

Must be skilled in completing tasks with several steps and must use judgement in sequencing tasks.

Must be able to follow cash handling procedures.

Must have experience or knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food and beverages, and for cleaning equipment and work area.

Must be physically able to frequently lift or move objects up to 40 pounds and pass a physical examination.

Must have required immunizations.

Must be able to obtain ServSafe Certificate.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.

Additional information
