Duties

Help
  • Duties include determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency, enhance participation, and community awareness of all DMWR programs.
  • Conducts Media relations, commercial sponsorship and overall planning of special events.
  • Serves as representative to community and briefs media on programs and activities and their impact on civilian community. Maintains oversight of all publicity, promotion and public relations for DMWR and activities.
  • Keep track of viable annual events for which to seek commercial sponsorship. Packages events, develops solicitation packet and solicits sponsorship from local, regional, national and international sponsors.
  • Serves as the primary planner and action officer for a variety of recurring and special events, and activities that take place at the installation.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated related work experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
  • Work experience must have been equivalent in complexity, difficulty and responsibility to the next lower pay band level.

Highly Preferred:
  • Must possess at least three (3) years' experience with developing, designing, and executing marketing campaigns; promoting and obtaining sponsorships, engaging clients, and managing relationships with external stakeholders and vendors.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing.
  • Must possess at least one (1) year experience working in a government environment to include knowledge of NAF funding, MWR and/or government regulations.
  • Must possess expertise in marketing initiatives/tools, including social media, development and maintenance of websites, operation of media boxes, email marketing, survey development and analytics, and/or specialized platforms.
  • Must possess strong budget management skills, including budget development, tracking expenditures, and ensuring cost-effective marketing solutions.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
