Duties

Help

  • Operates a cash register/Point of Sales (POS) according to standard cash control procedures.
  • Is responsible for their own cash fund, completes daily activity report (DAR), and secures deposit of daily receipts.
  • Rings sales by individual items, totals the sales, receives payment and makes change.
  • May sell food items located at different check out points.
  • Maintains assigned areas in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Performs related duties to include assisting in setting up of the food service line, replenishing beverage dispensers, making coffee, preparing salads and dessert case.
  • Assists in maintaining food items, neatly arrange on the counters and shelves.
  • Cleans daily assigned work area observing all sanitary and safety regulations.
  • May assist in taking inventory by arranging food items in sequence on storage shelves and in the refrigerated areas.
  • Is responsible for turning in all employee meal receipts, as applicable.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

  • Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
  • Must successfully pass the E-verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
  • You must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
  • May be required to pass pre-employment examinations.
  • A valid State driver's license is required to operate motor vehicles.

  • Must have knowledge of food service, food safety, cleaning and sanitation standards, as well as knowledge of personal cleanliness and personal hygiene.
  • This position requires light to moderate lifting of up to 45 pounds and constantly standing or walking.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Prior experience working in the food service industry.
  • Ability to run a cash register/Point of Sales, count money and return correct change and keep cash fund secure.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, food handling requirements, cleaning and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to perform light to moderate lifting up to 45 lbs and constantly standing or walking.
  • Knowledge of personal cleanliness and personal hygiene standards.
