Duties

Help

Assists in programs operation and maintenance of equipment and facilities. Special emphasis is on programs for families and family members and special groups such as retires, singles and private organizations, Types of duties include but are not limited to the following: Carries our recurring groups activities such as classes, clubs' special events, outreach, competitive games and events, and self-directed leisure. Recommend new programming activities, to include types of format and resources the activity would require. Gathers information from number of different sources, including past programs and current popular programs in other communities. Evaluate the information and make a judgment on what meets the needs of the specific clientele groups. Assists individuals with special interest to develop clubs and special interest groups. Assists in promoting marketing strategies. During deployments exercises, and other special conditions, Lead leisure activities and assists with services. Set up rooms to support meeting group needs. Collect deposits and protect funds. Greet facility users and conduct facility tours. Decorates facility to reflect holiday and program themes. Reports facility repairs and maintenance requirements according to procedures. Assists in maintaining facility to meet operational standards. Have knowledge of new NAF-T System to include NAFDIS (electronic preparation of AF 1876 and other related forms programs, allocating purchases and reporting all transactions to bank as directed in new regulations. Complete monthly inventory at the end of each month. Understand the public health code for the Blitz Lounge and train staff properly. Oversee and assist with duties associated with rental of rooms and equipment but not limited to the following: verify authorized users, computer used programs like Window based software applications (Word, Excel, Power Point and Access). Complete daily reports such as cashier reports and Working nights and weekends as needed, overseeing contractors for different programs, and creating new programs for the needs of the community

Qualifying Experience:
Experience which provides knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties. Ability to safeguard funds and equipment. Ability to resolve common arithmetic problems and make changes when needed. Practical knowledge and experience of Recreational Activities, equipment, rules and procedures which involve Recreational work in the areas of specialty while the position is assigned. Must possess the skill in dealing with the public.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
