Duties

Help
  • Assists the Commander and Chief of Staff in delivering programs to support family readiness in a worldwide joint command Headquarters that is comprised of over 1,600 Military and Civilian members and supporting Family members.
  • Formulates and coordinates annual budget estimates and justification.
  • Collaborates with management officials across the services to identify
  • Develops programs and projects and oversees implementation to enable readiness in Cyber Mission Force units
  • Determines the scope of guidance required to successfully deliver prevention, education and training programs
  • Identifies, distributes, and balances workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization.
  • Researches and analyzes social and economic trends in the military and civilian sectors impacting families and modifies programs as needed to achieve intended objectives.
  • Monitors and reports on the status and progress of work and reviewing completed work to see that the instructions on work priorities and deadlines and quality are met.
  • Oversees implementation and maintenance of a program that certifies or accredits Family Programs in accordance with DoD guidance.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counter intelligence scope polygraph exam.
  • Must successfully pass urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically there after according to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
  • The employee may be recalled to duty, may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and may be required to work overtime.
  • The employee must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time. TDY may be required. Incumbent may be required to travel by military and/or commercial aircraft in the performance of assigned tasks.

This position is in the Professional category at the Senior level within the CES Occupational Structure.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled.

Specialized experience would be demonstrated by:
1) Creating and coordinating annual budget estimates for agency programs 2) Establishing policies and goals for family support programs; 3) Analyzing social and economic patterns to determine the necessary changes for family support programs; 4) Advising leadership members on methods and procedures to accomplish goals.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
