Duties

Help

The primary purpose of this position is to work with the Resource Management Flight Chief (RMFC) and individual managers in the development, analysis and review of quarterly and annual budgets: maintain a system of surveillance over budget projections versus expenditures: and analyze and evaluate the financial and operational management processes for each NAFI. Assists the Services program managers in the development and preparation of capital expenditure and income and expense budgets, prepares cash flow budgets and minimum cash analysis based on financial trends. Reviews capital expenditures for unprogrammed purchases to determine if items have been certified by the RMFC and approved by the Services Commander. Uses automated budgetary system and computer-generated products in accomplishing budgeting assignments. Conducts budget related training for organizational personnel. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience: Progressive experience demonstrating standard budgetary methods, practices, procedures, regulations, precedents, policies and guides of the command or installation. The work requires practical experience of the functions, goals, objectives, word processes, and sources of funding of assigned budget activities. Knowledge of finances of the assigned area of the budget or assigned phase of the budget is required. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to apply analytical methods and techniques to budgeting.

Education
