Duties

Help
  • Serves as the Alternative Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM) Program Control Officer.
  • Manages the Geographic Combatant Command and Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) ACCM Programs IAW agency requirements.
  • Monitors and participates in the development of instructions, policy, procedures, program reviews, and inspections.
  • Responsible for annual training compliance of employees and contractor personnel.
  • Coordinates program management directly with Joint Staff, Service and COCOM offices of primary responsibility.
  • Oversees extension of command-sponsored Security Programs to other organizations, verifying the requirements.
  • Conducts quarterly and spot checks for compliance of segregation rules for the network as well as hard-copy storage.
  • Maintains classification guidance and resolves classification issues and challenges for the command.

  • This position requires the ability to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information SCI access for the duration of employment.
  • IAW change 3 to AR-600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, this position is subject to a pre-employment urinalysis screening, and random testing thereafter.
  • This position is deployable and may require extended TDY to OCONUS locations. This position requires a pre-employment physical and thereafter prior to OCONUS travel over 30 days.
  • May require TDY travel over more than 30 days to CONUS and OCONUS locations up to 30% of the time. This may require travel on military aircraft, ships and vehicles.
  • This position requires a pre-employment physical and thereafter prior to OCONUS travel over 30 days. Following initial adjudication of access, must be able to maintain qualifications for required access to perform TDY as directed.
  • May be subjected to short notice recall. Must reside within 50-mile radius of duty location.
  • May be required to work uncommon tour of duty hours, working either fixed or rotating shift which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Must be willing to submit to Counterintelligence Polygraph if required.
  • This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.
  • Two-year trial period may be required.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience 1) Applying and providing guidance on policies and training for Information Security, Industrial Security and/or ACCM Program Control; 2) Participating in the development of Instructions, procedures and/or policy for an Information or Industrial security program; AND 3) Conducting inquiries on security violations and recommending corrective action.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-11).

Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
