About the Position: Located at the US Army Installation Management Command, Directorate of Public Works, Ft Moore, GA which is located 100 miles south of Atlanta, GA, and adjacent to Columbus, GA and Phenix City, AL. Serve as a Senior Construction Representative with expertise in all engineering disciplines as well as acceptable industry standards required to accomplish the various trades encountered.
Interpret contract plans and specifications and determines whether construction meets contracts requirements.
Interface with the contractor's quality control supervisory staff in rendering decisions on the acceptability of material and workmanship, the employment of safety, and makes suggestions for efficient accomplishment of the work.
Maintain contract records from which pay estimates and progress reports are prepared.
Administer the Construction Safety Program by informing the contractor of requirements concerning construction safety measures and enforcing applicable safety rules and regulations.
Assist the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) on assigned construction contracts.
Brief organizational leadership and project stakeholders on the construction project's progress, delays, and schedule.
Serve as an on-site inspector for various civil, structural, architectural, and mechanical projects and day-to-day phases of construction.
Monitor construction activities from planning and design through demolition and accessioning of completed projects to ensure work is performed in full compliance with construction documents.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
