This is a regular part-time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week. May work up to 34 hrs./wk.

Duties

Help

The Website Manager will lead the digital marketing and online communication strategies to engage, build and improve the online presence of the 502d Force Support Squadron. Prepares marketing concepts for the web and provides advice to decision makers in setting goals and establishing priorities to support the mission. Works closely with supervisors, higher level managers, Marketing team, Social Media Coordinator and the Marketing Director to gather content; prepare website and social media marketing campaigns and determine the best way to disseminate the information to drive traffic and audience growth across different online platforms. Ensures all content is displayed accurately, fully accessible and conforms to higher level and regulatory requirements. Will write and edit content for the web and may need to design eye catching advertisements for the web and social media sites. Maintains and edits photos of events for the web and social media sites. Resizes images, documents and create editable forms; prepare files for the web. Identifies trending topics of interest, provides online customer service support, evaluates customer feedback, coordinates and compiles customer requests from the web to managers and flight chiefs. Tracks day-to-day facility updates for online communications. As the online liaison between the Force Support Squadron and the community, the individual interacts with customers, monitors comments and replies to customer messages within a timely manner; create engaging online conversations. Responsible for improving search engine optimization and ensures website is easy to navigate and appealing. Uses website statistics to translate into marketing strategies and improves functional interface design. Provides recommendation to change format and online directory structures to improve navigation. Works with IT Specialists and Public Affairs to keep abreast of changes to Air Force Instructions, Manuals, and guidance covering web pages and maintenance as well as ensuring all registrations and clearances for the web page are kept up to date. Researches and develops new web-based projects. Able to provide training and support to alternate editors. May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty. May operate a government vehicle to include light truck, sedan, golf cart etc. Duty locayion will be JBSA Randolph, however, this position may be required to work at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston and JBSA-Lackland. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Requires a general knowledge of Force Support activities and marketing/advertising principles and practices. Must have experience with designing websites and websites management and social media management, Google Analytics, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, blogs and other social networking sites. Experience with Drupal is desired. Must have the ability to work effectively with managers, public affairs and be able to work independently and as a team member. Experience must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Adobe Creative Suite. Must have ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing using tact and diplomacy. Must have ability to create a positive rapport with internal and external customers and have excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills. Must demonstrate knowledge of hyper tech markup language (HTML) and cascading style sheets (CSS) ability to use a Content Management System to maintain a website. Must have knowledge of organization to provide customer support.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):

3. Knowledge of hyper tech markup language (HTML) and cascading style sheets (CSS).
4. Knowledge of organization to provide customer support.
5. Ability to create a positive rapport with internal and external customers and have excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills.
6. Skilled in Microsoft Office products and Adobe Creative Suite.
7. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing using tact and diplomacy.
8. Ability to work effectively with managers, public affairs and be able to work independently and as a team member.
