Duties

Help
  • Supports Secretary of the Army priorities for Army Transformation and U.S. Army Europe - Africa Theater Campaign Support Plan.
  • Provides direct support to enable and enhance Counterintelligence (CI) investigations, operations, and collection.
  • Provides advice on matters concerning intelligence analysis, program and planning, management improvement actions, administration, and general management.
  • Reviews, analyzes, evaluates, and resolves problems involving staffing, organization, position and personnel management, organizational alignment, equipment authorizations, reporting, operational support assessments and plans, and labor updates.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a T5 (or equivalent) investigation.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph Examination and pass random examinations thereafter in accordance with Army Regulation 380-67, Personnel Security Program.
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended temporary duty (TDY) or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
  • Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 40% of the time.

Army DCIPS positions apply Veteran's Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 U.S.C., in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/GG-11 level in the Federal service with 1. Analyzing counterintelligence products in support of contingency operations AND 2. Develop strategies in response to targeting operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the Federal service (GG/GS-11).

Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.

-If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for Early Intervention Services (EIS) will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
