Help
  • Provide policy guidance and development for IMCOM Civilian Talent Attraction and Acquisition initiatives and in carrying out respective HR programs.
  • Lead a strategic recruitment program designed to attract highly qualified candidates and support command diversity goals.
  • Lead outreach activities and engages with academia, private industry, Colleges, Universities, Minority Institutions, Historically Black Colleges/Universities (HBCUs), trade schools, and other professional associations.
  • Supervise HR Specialists engaged in coordinating recruitment events and conducting outreach of external candidates, retaining employees, and formulating HR policies ensuring the attraction and acquisition of a high-caliber Civilian workforce.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

  • A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes the development, execution, evaluation, and oversight of the civilian HR programs in the areas of recruitment at the headquarters, directorate and garrison level. Coordinating recruitment events and conducting outreach of external candidates, retaining employees, and formulating HR policies to ensure the U.S. Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM) maximizes opportunities to acquire and retain a high-caliber Civilian workforce. Lead outreach activities and engages with academia, private industry, Colleges, Universities, Minority Institutions, Historically Black Colleges/Universities (HBCUs), trade schools, and other professional associations.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
