  • Performs DCGS-A platform management duties for the branch.
  • Formulates, plans, implements, manages, tracks and evaluates DCGS-A platforms and their operational status.
  • Communicates risks of software releases to management in a clear and concise manner.
  • Serves as a technical expert regarding support for the DCGS-A FoS.
  • Collaborates with Project Leads (PL) in support of their projects and integration requirements.
  • Furnishes expert technical advice and recommendations on major problem areas in assigned projects of specialization.

  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
  • This position requires submission of Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter
  • The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs.
  • Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (NH-02/GS-11) in the Federal service which includes: Serve as an IT Specialist (Application Software) for the Intelligence Support Division, Integrations Branch to support hardware and software integration for the DCGS-A family of systems (FoS). This requires the administration and monitoring of DCGS-A platforms. Troubleshooting DCGS-A platform errors and correcting them. Installing DCGS-A the platform from scratch, troubleshooting FoS component interoperability issues. Installing software packages for inhouse customers. Integrate DCGS-A software releases with hardware and apply IAVA packages.


You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

This is a DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position in the NH-03 broadband with established control points of position is GS-12 Step 1 up to GS-13 Step 10.
