The C5ISR Center is soliciting candidates to serve as a Supervisory and Senior Scientific Technical Manager (SSTM), Assistant Director (AD) within the Systems Integration Portfolio, Engineering and Systems Integration Directorate. The selected candidate will:
Manage a major engineering, scientific, or technical competency area with national or international significance within the organization's mission and vision.
Oversee engineering, integration, and experimentation initiatives aligned with the C5ISR Center's objectives.
Direct the execution of engineering programs and associated operations within the Systems Integration Portfolio.
Lead critical engineering, integration, and experimentation efforts across the portfolio to meet organizational objectives.
Provide experimental and technical guidance to senior management, other government agencies, and external organizations, acting as a consultant and offering critical evaluations and innovative approaches to complex engineering and technology projects.
Supervise and manage a team of senior engineers, scientists, expert technologists, and various support personnel.
Develop and prepare comprehensive program plans (including cost, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and forecasts) for the execution of multifaceted projects.
Engage with high-ranking civilian and military officials both locally, at other commands, and at higher headquarters, and prepare and present oral and written reports on program status, critical issues, and needs.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel 25% of the time.
