Duties

Help
  • You will serve as the regional KMI/COMSEC Manager for the Marine Corps Installations Pacific (MCIPAC) Area of Responsibility (AoR).
  • You will be responsible for operating and managing a KMI (Key MGMT Infrastructure)/COMSEC (Communications Security) Network for KMI/COMSEC activities and must be familiar with GEMONE or other industry standard software.
  • You will be responsible for KMI/COMSEC policy interpretation and application at the local and regional levels as well as coordination, communication, and assisting MCIPAC bases and camps.
  • You will ensure timely and accurate regional and local reporting of KMI/COMSEC activities to management.

  • You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.
  • If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Status of Forces driver's License.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing management over a wide variety of IT operations to include Key Management Infrastructure (KMI), Communications Security (COMSEC), and Electronic Key Management System (EKMS), implementing policies and procedures to ensure proper distribution, control, security, and accountability. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

Education


You may also minimally qualify based on the following education:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.
OR
Successfully completed 3 full years (54 hours) of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
