Duties

Help

This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Office of the Solicitor, Division of Administration, Branch of Information Resources Management, duty stationed in Washington, DC.

At the full performance level (GS-12) the major duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Managing the content for the Office of the Solicitor's internal and external websites and ensuring content accuracy, relevance, and compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
  2. Publishing the Office of the Solicitor's monthly newsletter.
  3. Serving as a production coordinator for a variety of multimedia communications deliverables.
  4. Formatting and editing technical and high-visibility content for style, proper organization, emphasis, and other editorial aspects before dissemination.
  5. Collaborating with content stakeholders to develop new website content, periodically purge outdated information, and establish brand guidelines.
  6. Providing Microsoft 365 OneDrive and SharePoint file management, file sharing, and permissions support to Office of the Solicitor staff.


Telework:The Department of Interior, Office of the Solicitor has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.

Salary Range Information:
GS-12: $94,199 - $122;459

Key Requirements:

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

To qualify for the GS-12, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience:

1) Providing administrative and technical expertise in the design, maintenance, and use of information sharing systems and collaboration software programs and web platforms; AND
2) Creating a variety of multimedia communication deliverables for an organization; AND
3) Reviewing materials for technical accuracy and style; AND
4) Supporting Section 508 accessibility in communications and information technology solutions.
