About the Position: Serve as an Architect (Historic) and engages in planning and/ or designing substantial new construction, renovation and improvement projects for a variety of real property facilities.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Temporary duty travel (5% or less) away from the normal duty station may be required.
Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid state issued Driver's License.
Overtime may be required to meet work requirements on an emergency basis.
Must have the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must meet one of the basic education requirements, as well as the specialized experience, to qualify for this position. Basic Education Requirement for Engineers:

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
For the GS-12 level: Specialized Experience required: : One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience planning and/or monitoring large scale facilities, construction, renovation and improvements projects; and, evaluating plans of real property facilities to ensure compliance with objectives, standards and requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
